7am and my alarm starts telling me bed is not where I need to be....ok...so I'm grumpy but I'm up...what more does a man need than bloody porridge and a banana to cheer him up....hit the shower...and the best bit..
Running shorts on...my little Asics compression socks on next...wolfrun top on...now I'm feeling it...whoop race day ππ
Now for the twist...I've arranged to meet some c25k virtual running buddies before the race!! Omg...they might find out I'm actually a total fruitcake...
So I head up to the carpark and what can i say....I have today met some fantastic people. Thank you Tails and Katnap and your wonderful family. It made my day.
This was supposed to be a race report but sometimes there are better things than PBs and excuses for not hitting that PB.
Anyhow, I ran the 10k and loved every minute of it. I didn't break my 50mins but I'm not really that bothered. I can have a go at that one next time round π₯³
I learn lessons every race and and every run. The one I already knew but got reinforced today is running brings people together.
And I love that.
Sub 50 you can wait a little π₯³π₯³π₯³π₯³

Brilliant post! Yup porridge and a nana with a race to follow is enough fun for anyone π. Who knew though π€·ββοΈ Certainly none of us when we took those first tentative steps of couch to 5k programme Here we are racing about the place πͺπππββοΈπββοΈπ π§
The icing on the fairy cake was meeting up with fellow HU runners π
