Had a fantastic run yesterday on my farthest long run yet. My MMR training plan called for 9 miles at my slow pace of 11:51/ minute. It was overcast and rainy so I was hesitant to begin. I started out extra slow and by the end of the 3rd mile I was feeling great. I really enjoyed running in the rain with the raindrops pelting over my rain jacket. I listened to the NRC 90 minute guided run to help keep me motivated. Finished at 9.30 miles (almost 15K) with an average pace of 11:48 per mile. I took a GU gel with me and had that at about mile 5 but didn’t take any water. My last 4 miles I upped my pace and still had a little left for a sprint at the end. Recovery was my feet up the wall, stretching and muscle milk - followed by dinner. Today I feel good, hardly any soreness. The HM doesn’t seem to daunting any longer and maybe a marathon will be in reach someday!

Sounds like you're doing a great job building up your distance, especially with no aching afterwards!
As an aside, I love the tags they've automatically assigned your post 😂

That's brilliant kwell39! 15k is the next milestone distance in my sites.
I've got a figure of 8 route that should do it.
Happy running 🏃!
