1st time out on a park run since 5th Jan due to the calf/ankle issues I’ve been having. Cant remember the last time when I had a run that felt as good as this one - no pain!

Sounds great! As I am currently on the ic with a hamstring strain, I look forward to th day that I can writ a post like yours.

All the best for your onward running journey.

I know how you must be feeling- my hams were an issue as well. I found using the steam room and the local upmarket gym really helped with stretching it out. Might be worth trying that with yours?

Thank you. All ideas welcome.

I see I lost two 'e's in my last reply! Sorry about that!

Glad you enjoyed your run today Dave, best news of the week, I bet you can't wait until next Saturday.

It’s the Cambridge Half in 3rd March I’m aiming for - lots of strength and cardio needed to be fit enough to finish that one! 🤞

Yay! We were there! The ground was better than I thought it would be, just that wind! Brought me to a standstill as I turned the corner at the bottom of the field 😂🏃‍♀️, OH got a PB! (For that course)

Happy days! On course for the HM then? 🤞

Well done on the PB, especially in that wind! That shows your HM training is paying off? It was my slowest to date on the winter course, but I did come 8th in my age group- the 1st time I’ve been in the top ten. Managed -ve splits too for a change, so pretty pleased with that run🙂🤤

We did 12.5 mile long run this week, well, OH actually did the whole lot and a bit more.....I’ve had a sore thigh muscle/hip stiffness, which hadn’t quite settled before this morning, so parkrun was a ‘try it and see’ , thankfully went well, and I do feel better for it......plus, now think next long run will be doable.....(max 11-12miles probably....)

So, yes, on track, I think.........fingers crossed.....

My OH is very similar pace to you, must try and meet up, you can then pace each other!

Yes that sounds like a plan - it would be good to to run with fellow C25k’s at the HM!

That's great news. I find my whole day lifts when I get tonrun injury free - it's the best feeling isn't it? That blue sky looks gorgeous too 🙂
