Have not trotted since last Saturday.Being ultra cautious.
Several things possibly,
muscular imbalance one stronger leg and one weaker, inflammation but no swelling and no severe pain, ( unlike pseudo gout), worn shoes, they only have done 750 kmβs.
Stopped all gym stuff that may aggravate, plyometric jumps, etc,
Going for a 5k gentle trot round this afternoon.
If no joy will self referral to physio.
These things just seem to creep up on you and I am pleased to have a sort of diary on Strava.
Take care all.ππ₯πββοΈπββοΈπ₯ππ

Comfortable. I took a single naproxen yesterday and it may have helped.Always limit that med I have for pseudo gout/ arthritic inflamation.See how it is tomorrow morning at 0500. π€
Itβs a trade in I need Abi for a faster model.Would not even qualify for the scrappage scheme.Just the baling press/crusher I am afraid.Donβt even think China take them any longer. ππ€ππππ₯πββοΈπββοΈππ
Hi Tbae, your Scottish friend Alan here, I showed and told a friend of mine the sort of exercise regime you were doing, he thought that you were a 25 year old training for the Olympics, but when I told him you were a 75 year old very fit man he gasped "he is overdoing things"
Perhaps you have been running too much recently, especially with the speed runs, so don't overdo it, I would not want you to get any further injuries.
I have been running a little recently just to keep my legs mobile, but I have been going for longer walks more often as the weather has been icy, I have the Mapmywalk app with me on my new Smartphone , I try to get the recommended 10,000 steps, I was very pleased to note that one of my regular walks were just over 11,000 steps with more calories burned than when I ran my PB 5K on October 10 last year.
I hope you and your family are all keeping well, please stay injury free if you can. I will be resuming longer runs come the Spring
I naturally ππ€lead with my left weak leg, no knee cartilage for 55years,recently and consciously began leading with my stronger right leg to try and pick up a little pace.
I think I see more wear on the outside of the left heel , more leadingπ€,and less on the outside of the right.π€.
The front foot wear looks fairly evenly distributed.π€
Still Grumbly, but easier and after doing two hours yesterday.
Going to self refer today to physio, may take weeks to be seen,
also going to start icing it and taking naproxen until I get a gp appointment.
Have an emergency stock for puesdo gout outbreaks and I have kept the condition dormant for all the time since trotting.Certainly a year or more.
Thanks Tasha and you keep up your good work, you are a π.ππ₯πββοΈππ
OMG Tbae - You really are a punisher lol. Mostly of yourself and our nerves! I've just been catching up on your recent posts, and in particular this thread.
I have to agree with AlMorr and his friend - and then in the next post you say you're also using a 24" plyo box - If I am half the fitness man you are at 75 I'll be happy lol.
For me, I've entered a maintenance phase. Hate going out in the dark, cold, wet so have contented myself with Parkruns, and an occasional midweek run along with long walks / cycling at weekends.
Stay safe my friend! I'll try and find you on Strava
You're like human dynamo Tbae! You post some sort of run or cross training activity on Strava every day and it always make me feel guilty/lazy! I'm 20 years younger than you but I take days off (plenty and maybe too many from time to time). Maybe you could build a few rest days into the schedule here and there? It would also be nice not to get a "Tbae trot" Strava feed report on my day off when I've just put my feet up on the sofa
Tbh Gary, I have kept this psuedo gout arthritic condition dormant with daily movement.
But I do want to try and fly like you guys and girls. π₯πββοΈπββοΈπ₯
When I crack it, this forum will be first to know.πππ.
I promise I am not going to finish things here, so I am still in listening mode, particularly to this magic forum bound together with so many shared golden threads.
ππ₯πββοΈπ₯ππ.
PS. Thought about your recent HM with a 5k slotted in the middle.π
Two things, warm up only is effective for 45 mins, if you stop then repeat.π€Static stretching disperses Adrenalin so do it when you finish a session.π€
