This week was first week of HM training for next April. I couldn't run Monday
as I was looking after grandchildren as both parents flew off to different countries for work. Wednesday I couldn't go to running club as son-in-law's flight back was delayed. Finally got out for a run tonight with aim of faster 5 miles to reduce time by 2 minutes. All going really well when I hopped onto a kerb as a car was coming. Suddenly I slipped off the kerb and fell on my right arm. The car stopped and the driver checked I was ok. A runner also appeared and asked if I was ok. I assured them that I was ok and wanted to resume running. The runner said he'd run with me to make sure I was ok. So off we went and as his stride was longer I had to work a bit harder. Result was nasty graze and bruising on right forearm 😒 but 3 mins off previous 5 mile times 😄

Sounds like you're having a nightmare week! Apart from the very nice runner who made sure you were OK, that is. Well done for getting out there with a super speedy run too! Hope next week is a bit more predictable and far less eventful!
Its a bit like having a bad driving lesson just before your test. Not only did you carry on running but you did a better time than you realised you could. TAke the good from that and forget the bad.
Thanks, someone said to me this morning 'it won't be your last running injury'. As she was a runner also I suspect she's had a few of those too. Still, today's another day and tomorrow will see another 5miles...
Well at least you got a better time out of that rough experience. Maybe you can find that kind runner again and keep improving 😁 I hope your arm is feeling better too.
