Well, my number has arrived for the Great South Run. And a friend of mine is on page 50. I aren't running this run for her, instead raising money for a charity which teaches lipreading.
Nervous and it seems so close now. Least I am getting over the cold which descended on Sunday so hoping to do a long run on Sunday.
Good luck to everyone running

Exciting! Mine arrived today too. Hoping I will make it, but worried that I haven't run all week and there are now only two weeks to go. The only run related stuff I'm doing is reading Don't think I will manage another long run before the day. Thinking I might try my local Parkrun tomorrow (if I can get the sports bra on) - it's 600 people so although it will be a relatively small distance, it will maybe help get me in mind of running with lots of people (although from the results I think there were just over 16300 people running GSR last year ).
Fingers crossed you make it! I admit that the run last weekend has made me feel much more confident, not just running in a larger event but also the fact I enjoyed the comaraderie of the event.
Hope the Shingles is getting better and you are looking after yourself xx
You will have a great time. I have not done the run myself but know many who have and then tend to return year-after-year as one of the highlights of their running year. Enjoy yourself, its jusat another run!
