Blenheim Palace Half Marathon, 10k and Family Fun Run (30th September)

Good morning Runners.

Is anyone running at Blenheim Palace on 30th September? And more to the point, is anyone going from London? I want to run it but it'll mean a stay in Oxford the night before... just exploring options - is anyone driving or planning a similar overnight trip?

Looks fab! I would like to do it one day, but not this year There are plenty of airbnbs in Kidlington which isn't very far away.

Hope you like hills! Only did the 10k last year and was pleased I'd stuck at that. Definitely what you would call undulating

I’ll echo agedsnailspace it is undulating, I did the 7K fun run a couple of weeks ago and it turned out to be 7.4K..... the course is ‘apparently’ notorious for being inaccurate!

I can recommend the Travelodge at Oxford Peartree, it’s only 10min drive to the Palace and there’ll be plenty of parking at Blenheim 😊

Thank you both! I'm unfortunately at the mercy of being car-less for this one, otherwise I'd probably just drive the whole way from London (what a luxury!). I don't mind hills so much, the first 5 miles of the Sheffield Half was all uphill so I have a bit of a dark affinity for them... they're hell but the post-run smugness is a fine thing. Good to know in advance though, for sure.
