Today's My Asics Plan 20k - erm you would wouldn't you?

I did. 21k I couldn't bring myself to finish on 20k.

I plugged in the numbers for a My Asics marathon training plan to take me through the year, then entered an October marathon (York). Knowing how my head works and that last year was the first I managed to run through the heat of summer I thought having this might keep me going. As its a long plan, over 3 runs a week I guess that's how I came to run long today. Back to the shorter 8 and 12 k runs (with an occasional 5) for a few weeks before another build.

Awesome! I only managed 16k today but it was my first long run post-injury so I’ve been working up to it gradually. I’ve entered York too. I have absolutely no intention whatsoever of actually doing it...but I’ve entered...!

That's a good comeback πŸ‘. I'll be there as accommodation is booked, running will be optional - we'll see πŸ˜€. Although I will be doing it to finish before cut off time, want the bling, not for a time - if you see what I mean.

I don’t even know what the cut off time is! Probably should have checked really 😬 I’m local so if I’m not running, I’ll be there cheering you on x

I’ve just tried to find out but don’t seem to be able to find it! 😬

I've just tried too. Perhaps there isn't one! Gives me a fair chance then πŸ˜„.

In that case, I might be tempted to give it a go!

Thanks. It was a good one as it was cold but dry, that always helps.

I could stop at 20 no problem πŸ˜ƒ. I’d deffo be hitting the brakes. I like to just do enough. I got loads of 18 k’s on my last HM plan. Got sick of em

You’ve done it now so you’re on course πŸ‘πŸ˜ƒπŸƒβ€β™€οΈ

I've got lots of 16k's coming up, won't be tempted to go further with them. It was only the fact that the extra k and a bit gave me an HM - too close not to do. Next set of 3 weeks of 20's in July might just stay at 20 πŸ˜„.

Well done Annie, I do that sometimes....sneak in another K, if I’m feeling good, go you!

Wow that is a good distance, well done! I do love it when the asics plan suddenly shoves a much longer run in as if I wouldn't notice lol. All these talks of marathons lately has my little head thinking! Maybe I need another hm or gsr for later this year.

Yeah, 10% rule, what 10% rule! πŸ˜‚. Still, does work. Got my HM PB with their plan - by almost 25mins. You definitely need something for later in the year (says she who, is only planning the one 'official' run πŸ˜„).

Brilliant! No, I wouldn't have stopped at 20 - if I'd got to 20 in the first place :D

You will. But first a little matter of a run in Canada before presenting - that will be amazing πŸ˜€

Well done! I probably would have carried on as well. 21 is a magical number.

It is, no doubt about it. Hope, no aiming, to find out if 42 is another one πŸ˜€
