Any ideas for dinner before a 7a HM? What about breakfast the morning of the race?

I have porridge with fruit and honey. It is good to try things during training. Different things work differently for different people.

I like to eat well the night before and hydrate loads. On the morning I’ve always liked a poached egg on toast a few hours before but that’s just me!!! Test things out on your train8ng runs?

I always have porridge with a little dried fruit and nuts for breakfast. Allow at least a couple of hours before the race for it to digest. Refined carbs are good the day before the race.

The general advice seems to be NOT to try anything new the morning before the race! Maybe eat one of your regular versions of breakfast but the one with the most bang for your buck.

Eat sensible portions of what you usually eat, but for the night before I suggest low fibre foods, avoid chillies in any form, and anything that gives you gas!
