Trains and hotel booked for Paris, so no backing out now! Though after the London big half, I am not at all convinced I am ready. I felt much better prepared this time last year. I've been telling my friends all will be well. Part of any runs challenge is the expectation at the start and the last third of any run is always hard, whether it is 5k or 42k. I'm definitely in need of some motivational pep talks.
Fingers crossed I'll feel more prepared on the day!
Gulp!

Good luck to you. Having just completed my first HM, and struggling around the last 2 miles, I can olny imagine the mammoth amount of commitment that it takes to run a full marathon.
I am in awe of you. I may not have ever ran that far, but I've been running long enough to know that there is no such thing as perfect preparation training. Have a great run.
The thing about marathons is that you can't know you can run one until you've run one. Now, not only have you already run one, you've run THAT one! So if you can make your way through that gibberish you can run that Paris Marathon
Please Do! I'm running the London Landmark half later this month, too and have the mid Sussex marathon weekend (3 back to back runs 2 x 10 miles and 1x 10k on consecutive days over late May bank holiday weekend) and looking way ahead, the Phoenix Rememberance marathon on 11th Nov
Thanks - I'm fine . I've been lurking - and busy! Training runs take forever when you run at my pace. Tapering now though as the run is a week tomorrow (gulp!)
You did the Big Half? We could have met up. You'll rock the Paris Marathon - you'll have two halves under your belt before then. Don't forget: You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think. Yep, all the best runners apply Winnie the Pooh wisdom.
