I can't belive I run 30k Thursday 15th. 4k better then my previous distance of 26k. My calves and hamstrings aching. Found it very hard going for the last 10k, but a good run.

That’s great! Only 30 K I’ve done so far was during my marathon. How long did it take?

4h 35m. I'm Run walking and its helped realise that I will need to walk longer between runs the further I get into the run.

That's impressive! I've never been out that long on a training run. A strategy I tried before Christmas, and which worked really well for me, was to run for 20 minutes and walk for 1.

And there is me finding the last two miles of a 12 mile run hard work!!! Well done, a massive achievement.

Well done, that's fabulous! Your marathon must be getting close (?)!

If you have one, I recommend a warm bath straight after the long run, I find it really helps my calves and hamstrings relax. But don't stay in for too long or you may start to feel a bit dizzy, 10 minutes is good. Also a gentle walk later on is very helpful, especially if it takes you in the direction of the pub :D

Don’t run beyond three hours peeps. Nothing gained apparently, according to the run tuition on the Audiofuel download I’ve got. I did and promptly locked my hip up, three weeks before D-day 😩🙄

Enjoy these long runs! Slow would be my advice
