Hi all started c25k in June and graduated late August and continued running 5k (consolidation) and then on the 9th of September I ran a 5k charity run and raised £500 for the veterans charity (was well chuffed) making more than I hoped.

Since then have continued running 5k including the poppy run for the British Legion and then in recent weeks pushed on a little and ran my 1st 10k last Saturday.

So now to the future and am looking for a further challenge and with that in mind I'm entering the ramathon (Derbys half marathon) and will again be running for charity which has bought me here looking for help (training schedules etc)

Thanks in anticipation rolysmate aka Puffin Billy

Welcome, and congratulations on all that you've achieved!

Hi and welcome to the next stage! I am only a week or two here myself. Best of luck with your progress in your HM training. I currently use the myasics.com plan (as I am a sucker for structure), but there are many options as I'm sure others will let you know about.

I don't think I can run it, because it's in the middle of my two HMs, but I will be there if I possibly can, with my green pompoms, cheering you over the finish line :)

And of course I will be cheering you on here in the meantime :)

I need to tell them my anticipated finish time ?????? !'ve run a 10k in 1.11.47 so does 2.45 sound realistic or is that over optimistic --- I really haven't got a clue!

Going to start with the asics training plan as of now, gives me plenty of time to get some strength in my legs and my final week of training will take place on the isle of mull (my spiritual home)
