A slightly older piece of bling

As some of you may already know from my weird posts, my dad used to run quite a bit. We were clearing out some stores the other day and I found this very interesting piece of bling. When I turned it over it said "All Ireland Marathon Dublin Jly 1960 6th PMcG

A 1960 Dublin Marathon medal and my dad came 6th! Quite proud to say the least!

Well done on the marathon. That's a lovely memento to have. I have my dads football medals and cups (not that I play football). I took one of the medals with me on the Great North Run as I was fundraising in his memory. Maybe you could take your dad's if you do it again - when you do it again!!
