To get me out running after my half marathon I thought I would try a run streak until new years eve.
(after being inspired by Ju-Ju)
Only one rule:
Running a minimum of a mile a day.
What I've learnt so far is that I feel better in myself mentally I can either start the day well or finish mentally refreshed.
Additionally I do not have that ehhhh I have to run today as I'm running everyday and just do it! I'm better prepared as now I get all my work clothes, lunch ready the night before and seem to have more time in the mornings.
So far this is working for me. long may it continue.

Excellent! I did that a few years ago, from Thanksgiving until New Year. Most days I just did a mile, so total time out of the house was about 20 minutes. I still followed the 5 mins warm up and cool down, partly because my runstreak coincided with the most evil early winter and snow and ice, as I remember, so it was freezing. Some days I did my proper run. I was fine to start with but I did get tired towards the end! You're a lot fitter than I am though so I'm sure you'll be fine.
Well done and I'm enjoying following you on Strava... I know not everyone agrees with streaking but it has worked for me for all the reasons you said.... and as long as you stick to the 1 mile very slowly and don't increase weekly mileage by more than 10% then I think it's ok.... but please do take care and listen carefully to your body, stretches, Epsom baths, massages etc etc.....
