So In July its the Cancer race for life, and I've decided to do it. I've decided to start eating healthy loose weight, and stop smoking.

What have you guys done in the build up of doing your 5k?

Any tips for a first timer ☺

well you have come to the right website but I would point you in the direction of the Couch to 5k section - healthunlocked.com/couchto5k

You will find like minded people here who are also just starting out running and perhaps even doing race for life.

But to answer your question I would follow the NHS couch to 5k programme, it's a set of podcasts or a mobile app and in i think it's 12 weeks your be running for 30 minutes non stop.
