Race registration question

So, after my question last week about the Bristol half marathon, I've decided to enter with a friend. If we want to make sure we can run together, do we just put the same estimated finishing time, or do we enter as a group?

Sorry, I've never done this before. My friend only agreed if we didn't get split up. Thanks x

If you both put a similar estimated finishing time, you’ll be put in the same starting “wave” (assuming everything’s back to normal by September) and then you can make sure you run together. 😀

Thanks, that's what I'd assumed 👍

Put the same time. If you end up in different waves, the person ahead is allowed to move back but not the other way around.

Thanks. I'm ahead of her on distance, she's ahead of me on speed. Hopefully, we can train together and I'll slow her down, or she'll never get round.

Definitely put the same finishing time as others have said. Even if you get allocated different start waves, it is almost always acceptable to drop back into a later wave if you did end up with different starting times.

Thanks. I remember my son trying to play in the local football team when he was seven. He and his best mate ran round the pitch holding hands. I imagine we'll look something like that. 😂

Love it!!! You wouldn't be the first pair to cross the line holding hands 😊
