Today I ran the furthest I've ever run. Just over 31 k in 2 hours 55 mins. I wanted to beat my previous best of 25 k . The weather here early on was beautiful and clear and oh so cool !!!. Perfect running weather. I downed two energy gels on my way round and its really funny on my Garmin stats how my pace increases shortly after. Average pace was 5.35 min/ k. So not too shabby. Feeling very pleased with myself if a little sore. Looking forward to the Blenheim half in a few weeks time. Maybe a pb on the cards. Bye for now.

Marathon training.
Morning Andy !
Ive just seen this on Garmin Connect , what an amazing run you had !
A Massive Well done to you, absolutely brilliant ! xxx
Sounds like you are ripping up the place with those times! You're on target for a brilliant run and potential pb material.
Take care! This soreness thing is a bit annoying but I suppose it goes with the territory. Hopefully you will be over it in a day and can get back out there to carry on training.
Have fun!
I really ache after long runs and it takes me a day to get over it. I walk like Frankenstein's monster in the morning til I've got going. Apparently the body doesn't start aching until the following morning as our body's natural defences protect us from the pain during sleep so we get a good night's rest. I read that the other day on the BBC website so it must be true ey?
Wow! That sounds like an amazing run and what a fantastic time! Good luck with your HM🙂.
Thanks so much. Just nursing a blister now. Must get that sorted. Can't bear not running. 😁😁
Wow - that is very impressive.
Wow that's a long way and really speedy😊😆looking good for your race😊
That is fantastic, what a great sustained pace for such a long distance, you are well on the way to that marathon!!!
Would you like to wear a wig and run as me in the Berlin marathon?
