I am still a runner even though I am OIC. This was my favourite ever run. Silly Minnie took ages to get her fix, but after that it was just perfect. I finally found Byron's pool, just off Grantchester Meadows (of Pink Floyd fame) I never knew there were places like this just a couple of KMs from Cambridge centre. Lovely steady run, certainly not fast but comfortable all the way. I stopped to take pictures and chat with people, the weather was perfect for running, and this was my longest distance (14 KM) when you include all the walking at the start waiting for Minnie! It was absolutely beautiful. I was buzzing for days on this one! I'll get there again one day...
Just to remind myself....: I am still a... - Fun Beyond 10K & ...
Just to remind myself....
Lovely. And yes, of course you will get back there again - keep the faith!🏃
You'll soon be running in sunny France, of course you'll get back!
you will get back, and thanks for sharing the gorgeous pics
You'll get there again! Because you want to!
Sounds, and looks, blissful! 14 k!!! Fantastic!
I love the Grantchester novels too! The TV thing isn't bad either
Oh Sarah, sweetie, you'll definitely get back there. I remember you posting this run when you first did it, and feeling a little twinge of jealousy that you run in such a lovely place. It won't be long before you're haring round the mountains in Cordes again, your fitness back where it was. Chin up m'dear, you are most definitely a runner.xxx
Thank you Carrie, it seems to be going on for ever...it's been a bit of a bad winter altogether starting with that virus...I'm hoping a change of scenery will make a big change to everything else.
I'm sure it will. There's been far too many horrid germs doing the rounds this winter.
We both need a new playlist: Willy Nelson 'Bring Me Sunshine', followed by Gloria Gaynor 'I Will Survive' and then Chumbawamba's 'Tub Thumping'. 🎼🎶 I get knocked down, but I get up again.....🎶
xxxx
I didn't mean I've been ill since then just a catalogue of disasters, my back popping twice, going all the way up to Yorkshire to run PR with Old Git, then being too ill to go, walking into that cabinet - my toe is ok but the bruise on my boob has just faded! I went to donate blood and nothing came out lol! My crossing being cancelled due to the storm...I'm sure there must have been other stuff, just can't remember it all! It really isn't like me....I'm hanging on to the memory of last summer, practically every time I went out I got a PB, I made so much progress even in that scorching heat, and enjoyed myself so much...you are a big inspiration, you've made more comebacks than a boomerang haven't you? We'll get there xxxx
Hahaha more comebacks than a boomerang 😄😄😄😄😄
That made me laugh out loud and spill my cuppa. You will be great again, Sweetie, popping out those PBs one after another -just try and avoid the heatstroke this year 😉 xxx
