There is a newish Polar watch out, a white one, as I keep getting reminders to buy it.! If my Polar heart rate monitor is anything to go buy, it should be a good one. It is handy to have the two things in one unit. Unfortunately I have a Garmin running watch Forerunner 10, but a separate Polar heart monitor (my husband bought it for me). Some folks say, but I don't know if it's correct, that a separate heart monitor with chest strap is more accurate. I don't mind wearing the strap as you don't notice it once it's on

I like my Garmin F10, cheap but fine for what I need. Lots of peeps here have various Garmins so will be able to make suggestions

didnt think the f10 did heart rate at all even from a strap?

the polar's do look good i am a little tempted by this :

wiggle.co.uk/polar-m400-wit...

the children dont need to eat for the rest of the month.

No it doesn't. Sorry, that was confusing. I run with a Garmin F10 and a Polar watch on my other wrist, which comes with a chest strap heart rate monitor. Bit of a faff having two watches but it's a cheap way of doing it. My Polar FT4 was cheap as chips as was the Forerunner10. If you buy a running watch with all the bells and whistles it will be dearer. I suppose it depends on your budget. You can pay daft money for features you won't need.

That was the one. It comes in white too.

Garmin Forerunner 235.

Integrated optical heart-rate sensor, Bluetooth to a smartphone (and notifications on the watch, so you can see text messages on the watch for example), GLONASS gps system - 5 seconds to get a fix before you run, and a variety of watch faces to donwload. Plus step-counting and sleep tracking. And the ability to connect to a HRM chest-strap via ANT+.

What could possibly go wrong???

I'd like a sleep tracker but they all look so uncomfortable to wear in bed!

Honestly, they are very light and you won't know it's there!

That is indeed a very lovely watch and so it should be for over £200! i might as well just save a bit more and get a fenix3 Sapphire HR :)

i was hoping for something cheap! i have mortgage, wife and kids to support a holiday to pay for as well the dog and gerbil to support they are all very high maintenance.

Please see it in your heart this Easter and give a poor man just £100 pounds so he can get the Garmin Fenix 3 sapphire HR. if you all do this he may even be able to afford 2 so he can have one for each wrist!

Please he is your only hope this easter.

If you already have a heart rate chest strap -- you want to make sure it will work with whatever gps watch you buy. I was looking at fitness trackers too: wareable.com/fitness-tracke....

I have a garmin 225 which I am so in love with. I paid 159.99 for it from wiggle which I know is a lot of spondoolies BUT it's worth every penny!!! It has an integral HR monitor on the wrist too!!!

I have the garmin 225 as well and love it,  I wear it as my daily watch,  my running watch,  my calorie counter,  stepometter,  sleep monitor. And it doesn't need a heart strap though you can link one.

The upload to mobile app is automatic as soon as you go near your phone which I love.

The polar m400 is awesome. Been more than happy with mine. Worth stalking eBay a bit as my friend got a blue one, brand new for £40. Budget for a strap as well, although some bundles come with one, again the Polar h7 is great. Always worth checking dcrainmaker.com for sports tech recommendations.
