Good afternoon, I have an update on my unfortunate experience last month with an Eyelea injection. Today I saw my doctor for a check up (my daughter came in with me) and the last injection cleared some of the leak, need another injection on the 15th January to hopefully clear the remainder of the leak. To help with my anxiety the Doctor will not lower the chair down, will not cover my face and will give me a tablet when I arrive at the clinic to relax me. Hopefully the next injection will be a much better experience. Merry Christmas to everyone. X

Merry Christmas.
Hi RP1944 and thanks for the update. That's really good news so I hope all will be well from now on. A Merry Christmas to you too and a Happy and painless New Year. 🙏😊
Hi Springcross, just to update you. I had an Eyelea injection on Monday 19th January and it was a much better experience. They gave me a calming down tablet before the procedure, didn’t take the chair down too low and didn’t cover my face. Injection still hurt! All in all a much better experience for which I thanked my Doctor. Next check up in February, fingers crossed this injection cleared the leakage. Best wishes to you.x
Hi RP1944. I'm glad to hear things weren't so bad this time, albeit the injection still hurt which is a shame. I wonder if the anaesthetic drops are different to the ones you have been used to - I was told a couple of years ago by an injector, after an extremely painful injection, that it was found the last batch of anaesthetic drops didn't work for anyone so was obviously a bad batch!
Hi there’re RP1944 hope your weathers better than ours at the moment. Lol
Sorry to hear you had an unpleasant experience but thankfully your doctor is addressing it for you so I hope all goes well in January. Take care and a very Merry Xmas 🤶
I have weather envy now lol. Xx
So pleased to hear that good news, always best to discuss any issues as you have done. All the best that from now on there is a great improvement for you. Very best wishes.
great to hear you said your piece and were heard and changes made. Good for you. All the best. I’m sure you will have a better experience next time.
Praying for you to have a better experience. That was upsetting for me to read, never mind go through it! Merry Christmas!
That should do the trick then. Chair though? My injections are always done on a hospital trolley.
In England it was always a high bed with a covered pillow. In Cyprus they tend to use a type of chair similar to a dentist chair and the one they use at the theatre at the clinic my Doctor is now using is a weird contraption that has the patient head down, feet up. It’s very weird and uncomfortable . I’m hoping my next experience on the 15th January is much better. Happy New Year.x
