Hi, I'm in my 40s and have high/pathologic myopia which has led to various AMD problems including retinal detachment, liquid leakage and CNV. In the last two weeks, I had a sudden reduction (it went within about 3 days) in the vision in my right eye, mostly the central vision. I can no longer focus at any distance. I have been to the eye hospital in Sweden, where I currently live, and am told - it's just my eyes deteriorating and thinning at the back and there is nothing they can do as there is no sign of detachment or vessel growth or liquid, i.e. nothing they can give me an injection for.
So I am feeling shocked and bewildered and not sure what to do as it is very hard to work, etc. I am trying to make an appointment at Moorfields to speak to a specialist, but I suspect that I will get the same answer. But just wondering if there is anyone here that's experienced the same thing.
Thanks
