Morning All,

I have CCSR and have been having injections for neary 1 year now. I have the CCSR in both eyes but only have the injection in the right eye. The sight in the right eye has been decreasing in the last year and i was at a regular appointment 2 weeks ago. The follow up letter sent to my GP and a copy sent to me stated i also have Wet AMD? I have tried contacting the hospital to see if this is something new or just a typo, but as of yet have had no reply. I just thought i would post on here and see if anyone else with CSR or CCSR has also been diagnosed with wet AMD.

Sorry to hear this. I have CSR also. I’ve been told it can lead to AMD.

Sorry to hear that. I have CCSR in both eyes, but no diagnosis of Wet AMD. Are the injections working for you? They didn't work for me, so I tried a micropulse laser, which is non-invasive, and I have seen positive results. Not sure if that would help with the Wet AMD, but maybe something to talk to your doctor about?

I was at hospital on Tuesday this week and was told that the pdt laser treatment isn’t currently available due to a worldwide shortage of the drug that they inject you with. I am sure that when it is available I’ll be getting it done

The PDT laser is different from the micropulse laser. The PDT laser can potentially cause scarring, which would lead to permanent vision loss. The micropulse laser does not require the injection the PDT laser requires, and it does not have any potential for scarring. I would look into the micropulse laser and see if it is available as a treatment option.
