Hopefully this will not upset anyone...
A friend's mother had a heart attack and diagnosed with Type II diabetes in the mid-seventies. She is doing well for someone of 95. Last week she attended an opthalmology clinic (she has had increasing difficulty reading). Afterwards she rang my friend and said she had been diagnosed with "Macular Dementia"!
Just been told I have macula denigrating 
Frightened and confused.
