Levodopa being trialled for AMD

I wonder anyone has seen the information on the Parkinson’s drug in trials for AMD that is having positive results and is ongoing. See the link attached, I’m not sure this is happening in the UK.

Yes I saw something about this recently it sounds good but it always seems years off before anything gets approved here which is so frustrating.

It's probably too early to start asking your ophthalmologists, they have only done what are called "proof of concept" studies so far, in very few patients - those are the look-see studies, to find out if a full scale trial is justified. Interesting and promising but a long way down the pipeline

Thanks for the link, it seems it has been ongoing fr 20;years but they are still persevering. We just have t keep looking but as yu said MST cnsutants don’t really want to get involved with research conversations.
