Macula operation

Just to let anybody know that is worrying about having the operation please please don’t. Had mine four weeks ago with a wonderful surgeon Danny Mitry and everything went perfect. Hole is now closed and eyesight almost back to normal and will be better iver next couple of months.

Only has to sit in reading position for two days for as long as possible none of this posturing that puts the fear into all having the op.

So that’s it really I’m feeling good and glad it’s all over but please don’t be scared as I didn’t feel a thing during the operation and after was fine too.

I had a macular hole repaired in both eyes seven and eight years ago and then had to hire special equipment in order to have my face down for 22 hours out of 24 for 7 days , It was a difficult ordeal but ops were successful. A friend has just had hers done and like you didn’t do any of that posturing so it shows how far treatment and recovery has progressed from then. Medical procedures are always improving !
