There is no one size fits all schedule, that I know of, I see a retinal specialist ophthalmologist regularly but we’ve given up doing OCT scans unless indicated by symptoms or fundoscopy as in my case they did not affect treatment or change the prognosis.
Protons vary and not all treatment centres have OCT and even fewer OCTA. However , these tests give extra information on which one can base a decision to inject or not. In my case it has influenced decisions.
Yes, that’s the point, I’ve had enough OCT scans, and discussed them with the consultants, to know that they don’t always give any useful information, especially in my case.
Many clinical tests , not just in ophthalmology, are best scheduled on a case by case basis.
