Yes. Hi Robynm. The injections I have had in my wet AMD eye, over the last couple years, have definitely made the world look more normal than when I was first diagnosed with AMD. The wavy lines on doorway frames, etc. have gone away. It is no "cure" for sure. But to me the improvement is obvious.

Hi Robyn,

From what I have learned, everyone is different and responds differently to the medications. I had my first Eylea injection on February 19; my first in the other eye was a week later. At that point, my doctor told me there was already improvement in the first eye, after only a week. I could actually see the medication enter my eye. I did notice the change, but it was nice to hear it from him. It is an unusual feeling; my eyes actually felt better, despite a little stone feeling from the medication and brused-like pain from the injection in the first eye, which took the week to subside. The second in my other eye had no pain. I just recently read that many doctors monitor patients every 4-6-8 weeks and re-evaluate after a year. I am sure this varies as well. With what medication are you being treated? I imagine patience is important with these medications.

Best wishes,

Bunny

I don't remember the name honestly I was so upset and freaking out I didn't catch it . She said it was to dry up the blood and hopefully still the leaking . I go back next week I also had retinal tear surgery on both eyes as well . They did tell me it could take a few injections to see a difference I'm hoping it helps

Robyn,

I hope so too. It is important to know with what medications you are being treated. I think you are very brave. It took me six months before very wonderful people convinced me to begin the medication injections. Talk with your doctor for guidance.

Take care,

Bunny
