Can I fly from Texas to California after getting shots in both of my eyes? It would be 4 days after I get the shots. Not sure if the pressure being in the air affects it?? Thank you!

I flew from UK to Australia 4 days after Lucentis injection and no problems. The clinician knew I was flying and made no comments other than to wish me a good holiday

I am told that flying is ok after a few days so if you feel your eyes are settled

Led and feel up to it, then I think you will be ok.

I would make sure you keep well hydrated so your eyes don’t feel dry.

Go with your instincts of how your eyes are feeling.

Safe travels.

Best wishes

Dear Annsandra

I have just been to Australia and back . I had injections 5 days beforehand . I was told to put in Clinitas Eye Gel every hour . Because of the air conditioning , eyes dry up very quickly . I just have one injected other eye is dry .

Hope this helps .

Flying is fine after injections

Dear Mom2,

It is usually advised that an individual does not fly for 5 days after an injection, because any adverse side effects are likely to happen within 5 days.

Kind regards,

My physician held back on the injections as I was flying out to Portugal.

I flew 5hrs less than 24hrs after a shot in one eye. I never had any effects, never even thought about it!

Nothing has ever been mentioned about it to me in 95 shots.

Oh my goodness 150 ! I have very good vision ,and very pleased with the result . I am one of the people who has a very bad reaction 4 hours after injection . Have landed up in accident and emergency 3 times with dreadful pain and nothing they give me gives any relief ! I am positive it is something to do with the clamp they put in . Have tried everything eg, no iodine , lots of rinsing with water. I am on a good spell at the moment as my consultant is giving the injections . Can never be sure that she will always be there to give injection . She definitely puts the clamp in differently from the nurses who previously did them .

Thanks for your uplifting message above .
