Macular hole and glaucoma in both eyes

my wife has macular hole in both eyes. She also has raised interoccular presure. She is taking eye drops for the iop and is worried that lowering the eye pressure to 10-15 as recommended by eye doctor will make the macular holes worse or cause them to tear. Any thoughts on this as she has got herself really worried about this. Thanks.

Hi jhys06567I am just wondering where the info about lowering the eye pressure making the Macular hope worse came from?

Also is it just raised eye pressure or definite glaucoma which is something different to just raised iop.

Dear jhys06567,

It may be worth your wife contacting her retinal specialist via their secretary and raising her concerns with them, requesting any clarification needed.

Kind regards,
