Hi all. Although I have had a vitrectomy op 3 years ago I don't know much about my latest diagnosis. I knew everything was deteriorating again and emailed and rang over and over my main hospital who did the first op but they never responded. However I went to my local hospital for a routine checkup and they said oh dear its a very large hole in the macular. I go back tomorrow to see what is or isn't possible. Has anyone out there experienced this and is it the same as a vitrectmy op. This is just a shot in the dark (forgive the pun).

Hi Chittychatty
I had a macular hole and the op I had to close it was a victretomy. As far as I'm aware it's the most likely treatment for it.
