Macular hole

I had a gas bubble injected in to my right eye to try to close a hole that was still small, instead of surgery. The hole is closed but now I have floaters and something that looks like a small spider web, that moves when my eye moves. Has anybody ever heard of that? I thought that you only got those kind of things when they actually did surgery, that it as left over from the surgery? I hope this goes away, it is really irritating, I keep thinking some bug is in my eye.

Hi mommapoohbear. I don't know anything about the procedure you have had but the web-like thing you are seeing may be a bit of the vitreous jelly coming away from the eye. This isn't serious but just in case this is not what is causing it, you should get it checked out asap. Good luck - let us know when you find out.
