Is LASIK surgery a viable option?

I have been wearing spectacles for a long time. In between, I changed to contact lens but then managing that was getting difficult so I reverted back to wearing spectacles. I’m having myopia so I can’t manage without the glasses. So I have to wear it day and night while doing all other sorts of things that I love to do. I have been thinking of getting LASIK surgery performed, but I am so terrified at the idea of pumping a beam of a high powered laser to my eyes. Who wouldn’t be right? But since one of my friends did it I have become more confident. So I’m thinking of performing LASIK eye surgery from Boston[avantlasikspa.com/]. She said that there is going to be a tiresome eye exam, in the beginning, to check if my eye is healthy enough. Maybe they will put you on medication and if you are healthy enough they may or may not perform the surgery. It did cost a lot to my friend, it is bound to vary from patient to patient depending on each patient’s specific condition. But I have to be prepared for that. So I was wondering if medical insurance would cover a LASIK surgery. I am not that financially strong. Is there any type of insurance that would cover the surgery? Do share your thoughts, please.

I can't think insurance would pay but good luck and I hope it all works out for you.
