Hi everyone, havn t posted for long time, been Ill due to psoriatic athritis, to summarise, I have had wet amd for 4 yrs, in May I was told I have type 2 diabetes, (routine bloods in March showed it) but I wasn't told, have to wait until July 31st to attend an awareness course, ....on a routine scan at eye clinic, few weeks ago, a doc matter of factly said "you have diabetes Jean?" I replied that I've not long been diagnosed....to which she replied " this is an eye clinic and you have been having treatment here for 4 years" ...I was so taken aback all I could do was smile and say yes I do know that....nothing more said ...had injections and left .....I have since found out (my own detective work lol ) that you can have it in the eyes ..which I knew nothing about...but disgusted at being treated as if I was senile!!!...sorry for long post x

Sorry u were treated that way
Not a very nice way to be treated.
Sorry you had that experience. If their communication was better to us in the first place we might be a bit more clued up. Good luck with the diabetes. My friend managed to get rid of it by altering her diet ( she has great willpower!). There was a tv prog recently about it too - worth watching if you can find it ( I think it was " Quick fix diabetes" or similar. Maybe on Itv.)
