Thanks to everyone who replied to my 1st post. I've just had my 2nd jab and can happily report it was a lot better than the 1st. I took peoples advice and mentioned what happened the1st time (the prick sensation) and I think they made sure I was maxed out on anaesthetic and this time I only felt pressure. And they said the fluid in my eye had improved a lot. Thanks again to everyone for their help.

Wet AMD Injections
that is really good. So pleased
That's great to hear, and good to know you have an understanding team, thanks for letting us know. 😊
Hi MarkoVince. I just had my first injection 3 weeks ago and my second one is coming up in 10 days. I had no issues other than a pinch feeling and was quite pleased with how it went. I to was worried and it didn't help that I actually watched a video of the shot before I even got my first one. I did notice the gentleman getting the shot didn't even flinch so I figured it must not be too bad. I have one question though. I was seeing wavy lines and blurry vision with a small blocthy area in my center vision. After 3 weeks I have definitely noticed a change for the better. Wavy lines are still a little wavy and the blurriness is still there. Did you notice an improvement after the first shot and I know that you just got your second shot but is your vision getting back to normal? I also have wet AMD and caught it early so my doctor is optomistic that by this spring (3rd shot) my vision will be back to normal. Just wanting to know how other people are doing after the initial shot?
I too have wavy line, blurred vision (especially centrally) I didn't notice a difference after the 1st shot but the eye doctor was pleased and said that the amount of fluid behind my retina had reduced, only had the 2nd shot today, hopefully this lates shot or the next one will get rid of enough fluid to maybe improve my vision a little
good result marko vince. Well done.
Glad all was well, Marko.
That's Great News, MarkoVince!
I am glad I read your post . My first injection was fine but the second one last week I felt a prick and had the odd twinge for days after. I will make sure I mention and ask more numbing drops next time.
I have now had 6 monthly injections since my original post. My 1st injection didn't go too well as I felt a prick when the injection went in (not the idea start) but took the advice from people on here and asked for more anaesthetic the next time. No problems since although you do feel pressure though. Liquid is gradually reducing and hopefully only a couple more jabs before I get a review and hopefully less frequent jabs after that
