My wife found out last sat at secsavers that she has macular hole in retina. Was sent with letter to Addenbrookes A&E where she was sent away to request her optician to contact Addenbrookes eye clinic with details. she has found out that waiting list could be 22 days or more. What are potential treatment or likelihood of scarring. Do we consider private perhaps not sure if costs or who is best. Any experiences or comments appreciated as she is worried. Wife is mid 50. Thanks

I can understand your worry- I would just turn up at your nearest eye hospital a andE as they will be able to see for themselves what the problem is rather than rely on a report from your optician. I hope you have one near you. Just adding... Addenbrookes have a walk in clinic near the buses clinic 14 I would try just turning up!!
