New treatment for AMD

A letter in today's Guardian (Letters' Page 21/09/17) from retired GP Elizabeth Lenton from Plymouth, refers to a treatment currently being submitted to NICE for approval. This, according to the letter, is a painless proceure similar to a normal cataract operation and the writer and many others - the letter states - have had very successful treatment for dry AMD with this. The procedure goes under the name, as far as I can gather, of Hubble or Eye Max implants.

Does anyone know any more about this?

And this is National Eye Health Week, 18-24 September.

Hello Maritravel,
