Got sick and woke up with blurry vision.

In early May, I had flu like symptoms and became sick. I woke up having blurry vision in my left eye. I thought it was from being sick so I continued to take flu medicines and rest. It never went away so I saw my eye dr who referred me to a RS. I was given an Avastij shot last month that I honestly feel made my vision a bit worse.

Them a few weeks ago I had an eylea shot in both eyes. My RS said there is swelling behind the eye, but it's gone down tremendously since my avastin shot. I saw in the photos first hand it has. I just remain very worried because it was all so sudden and he hasn't officially diagnosed the cause. He said it could have been a bite or some infection. I was on a plane and in the woods, but I didn't experience any symptoms until I became sick. I also had a fracture of a bone near the affected eye last year so I'm just really scared this is permanent. I can feel fluid on my eye and go back for my 2nd eylea shot in July. Any one go through a similar experience?

hi, I awaken every am with blurry vision..it takes nearly two hours for them to clear..wet and dry. My doc said it was probably the cataracts...both eyes.

some of us...well me..had an inflammatory reaction to eleya. In fact I lost my sight both times I got eylea injections.

my sight came back after just a few minutes...both times. After that I went back yo avastin.

I completely changed my diet to an anti inflammatory one. The difference is terrific IMHO.

Thanks for the reply! I'm happy that your vision came back. That would be terrifying. I'm going to ask and see if my diet could also be hindering it from getting bette.

Yes, that is exactly where I am right now. Have had colds before but nothing like this one as it has left me with a blurry and it just sucks. I have a 15 credits Stats exam in 2 months and I can hadly read, ler alone write this text.

Is there a remedy for such?

That same exact thing has happened to my I had the bad flu now my left eye is so blurry I get a head ache. I will go to the dr on Monday this helped me reading your post thank you

So do u have a update?....my vision has been crap for 7 days after onslaught of a head cold and I'm freaked out!
