im wantin to hear from any one who has some one that has a loved one that has lupus as im lookin to make new friends and chat to people as my daughter has the sle type and she has had it for the 6 years

thankyou for sendin me a message back my daughter has has sle as it affects her lungs and joints and now her eyes get very sore some times, she is on eye drops as she was rushed in to hospital last sept as she did have a throat virus and she got really bad they thought it was menagitus but he wasnt as she had a rash but her eyes were very red and couldnt stand light shes ok now but under the eye specialist

Hi and welcome to the lupies, I have SLE Lupus and yes my eyes do get sore because I have sjorgens sydrome. I have found to wear sunglasses if its windy, orange glasses at night if its raining seems to improve the blurring (£10 ish from screwfix) and i use that eye spray which sprays onto your eyelids and it gets absorbed its not cheap but lasts for ages. I dont know if that helps but certainly if she is tired it would be worse. This web sight is great you get a chance to share worries and questions which means your might get an answer before you see your doc. So I find the worst thing about this illness is if your not feeling great its difficult to meet people and friends and you can feel lonely and why me and whats for the furture but infact its great to share and I bet you will find someone to talk to.
