Strange flare. Any ideas please?

Hi all I am experiencing a strange pattern to my symptoms. Although I have lupus fibromyalgia and CFS I think it is lupus. I started with a bit of pain in my right shoulder and hand but only in the evenings. Then I started getting a lot of nausea during the day. Then finally today I got both hands swelling up, with lots of pain, feeling sick, shoulder aching ankles and the right knee. Also have headache on and off. Trying to work out what is going on and how to settle things again

sounds lupus like ,if you havent already got the correct meds to deal with a flare ,visit your g.p asap!

I take plaquinil 400mg daily but only take paracetamol and codeine as didn't like being on oral morphine. I have never thought of going to the gp when I am suffering a flare as I wasn't sure if there was anything they could do

Sounds almost exactly like my last flare, except that I didn't have so much nausea. Hope you feel better soon. x

Thanks for the replies . My pain relief is ok and I am taking plaquinil for lupus. All my previous flares have been constant pain and swelling whereas this is just the evening [shouldn't complain really] Its so weird. I have mild pain most of the time but this is weird. I can walk around during the day then at night just standing is agony. Its crazy how different flares affect us all. I will keep monitoring it and see what happens. I am due to see my lupus consultant soon so see what my levels show.
