Do steroids cause constipation?

Since starting on fairly high-dose steroids a couple of weeks ago, I seem to be getting constipated. Is there a link? Right pain if there is, having spent years getting chronic constipation more or less under control!

If the steroids ARE causing the constipation, I can deal with that, especially since I hope steroids will be a relatively medium-term solution rather than a permanent one - I can just add in some senna at night. But I just wanted to check if others have found the same effect.
