Sleep or lack of...

I've always slept well and lupus has always made me even more sleepy. However this latest flare has left me waking every few hours and finding it very difficult to get back to sleep. I've also got a very sore throat and a white tongue. Does this sound familiar to anyone?

I'm a life-long insomniac so initially the extreme sleeping (10 plus hours sometimes!) was not too bad lol

However nowadays I have many nights of not sleeping well as well as fatigue on others..I think you'll find it's very common.

(I get sore throats too, but maybe the white tongue is thrush..?)

I don't sleep very well either. I feel tired on going to bed,but then I can't get too sleep. Spend about an hour doing finger shadows in the moonlight. Then there will be 2000 decibels next too me and the dog will join in clicking her feet on the skirting boards. If I go down stairs and sleep? in the recliner the cat will come and tap dance on my knees. If I need to sleep I take an occasional co codamol. That works. Mind you I have some weird dreams!

I dont Sleep to good of a night time either even though from about 5pm I could quite easily just drift off. My Dr. prescibed Amitriptyline starting at 10mg but after awhile didn't work, so gradually have increased to 75mg :/ and still not a good night kip as it happens last night wasnt a good night woke up with stiff neck, bad back, bad shoulder and wrists. .ha ho life goes on :-)

My sleep has been disturbed for many years, but it can also be very good. If you cannot sleep then try to get some good quality rest, dont let you mind race or get stressed abuot it.

So far as the tongue is concerned -clean you teeth with bicarb once of twice a week, it will also keep ulcers at bay.
