Lack of sleep through insomnia or pain?

Both - but then when I'm awake my pain seems to get worse and even though I'm so tired it takes about an hour to get back to sleep.

I know that kids who have ADHD get this medication to help them sleep.

My son was given this for several years as he was diagnosed ADHD and had to eventually take ritalin. It did help him with a better sleep pattern. Only take it with medical advice and by prescription.

Have you tried eating melatonin rich foods? Tart cherries, walnuts, sunflower seeds, celery, and bananas. Tart cherries hold the highest melatonin value.

Best to consult with your doctor/s about pain disrupted sleep - difficulty falling asleep or difficulty staying asleep or difficulty returning to sleep after waking up mid night.

Sleep patterns can become altered and bothered with many Rxs. Prednisone is well known to disrupt quality restful sleep. Taking doses at different times can sometimes be the key.

Take care and sleep well soon.

Yes I have taken 10mgs. melatonin when I can't fall to sleep or when I have awaken and can't fall back to sleep with no I'll side effects. It's an all natural sleep aid.

Thank you all for your messages. I shall try the melatonin-rich foods and it's good to know that I can also take melatonin supplements if needed.
