There are different species of MILK THISTLE.

The one prescribed by doctors is S. marianum (active ingredient : extract SILYMARIN).

Milk Thistle has known antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects. Commonly prescribed to hepatic / liver disorder patients.

Side Effects to be aware of:

Mild gastrointestinal distress is the most common adverse side effect.

A laxative effect has also been reported.

NAPROSYN, albeit usually enteric coated when in tablet form, is known to cause watery stools and gastrointestinal distress. Always take with a full glass of water to best avoid problems.

Also good to note that this medication can cause dizziness, drowsiness, and depression.

Never split enteric coated tablets.

Curious why hydroxycodone (opiate - highly addictive) and naprosyn (NSAID)?

Have you tried Tramadol/Ultram (opiate)? Much safer for your liver/kidney function in long term use.

Best to inform your doctor/s and or pharmacist what prescription and nonprescription medications, vitamins, nutritional supplements, and herbal products you are taking or plan to take.

Proper dosing is vitally important to gain full benefit.

Must avoid negative cross effects / interactions.

The body breaks down some medications to get rid of them. The liver helps break down these medications. Taking milk thistle might affect how well the liver breaks down drugs. This could increase or decrease how well some of these medications work.

AS AN AFTER THOUGHT ... you likely meant HYDROXYCHLOROQUINE and not hydroxycodone.

Oops. My bad.

Be well.
