Zentiva supply issues?

Hiya. Is anyone experiencing problems with getting hold of Zentiva Hydroxy?

My usual pharmacy says their supply chain can't get hold of them and that is the same for a lot of the pharmacies in the area because of a change to the ordering system.

I don't know then how we are supposed to get hold of the medication we need?

Apparently it isn't a cost issue - Zentiva costs the same as the others. It is medicine shortages.

Thanks!

I've just been given some zentiva, even though I don't specifically ask for it, this happens quite often, it's very strange given the number of times people on here who should be given it can't get hold of it.

It's like the people running the system have no clue about brands being different and just dish them out randomly.

I don't think they do, and nor do they care!

I always go to the horses mouth on issues such as these and speak to the manufacturer. At least you get the correct info and they can normally tell you where the best supplies are or if there is shortages if they will be issuing emergency supplies.

Oh here we go again! I'm lucky my pharmacist always gets it for me but it took a while a few years back. If you always use the same pharmacy try to get them to obtain it for you. I had to use an independent rather than a big chain. Lloyds were useless. Boots tried to help but struggled. Good luck.

I have in the past and my new surgery doesn't seem to be able to get hold of them but can get Blackrock or Accord which are Plaquenil equivalent like Zentiva. They are also coated like Zentiva for easy swallowing. I have not reacted to either but did to Quinoric based ones like Bristol labs or Ipca. You could ask for Plaquenil based versions like Blackrock or Accord and maybe they could get them instead? Just seems like some Supply warehouses now don't seem to want to buy in Zentiva.

Do they have the same fillers though? That's often the problem.

Yes I think Blackrock is exactly the same not sure about accord but I am very sensitive to cheap fillers and neither of these two caused any gastro issues with me.
