I have sjogrens and take hydroxycloroquine. I was just wondering as anyone ever been referred to neuro-opthamology. I was just wondering why I was referred? (Still waiting for my letter)

Hi, I have yearly appointments because of taking hydroxychloroquine. my daughter sees 3 different opthamologists throughout the year, 1 checks because of hydroxychloroquine, 2nd checks because of diabetes, 3rd checks for various things going on in the eyes. why the three cant be done by one is anyones guess.

As your appt is neuro, it could be they are checking nerves surrounding the eyes. if its your first appointment, it may be routine, to make sure everything is ok and that they’ll have a record to compare at future appts if necessary.

Thank you!!! Its the neuro bit that threw me off. I thought maybe are they looking for something else!
