Not posted for a while, hope everyone is managing their lupus symptoms as best they can. I did think that using 50spf sun screen and taking hydroxychloroquine would keep my skin lupus at bay. However, I'm beginning to realise it is not just the sun and artificial light that my skin is sensitive to. We had some very bad news about a close realitive about 10days ago and since then the skin on my face has been really affected. It looks as if ive been scalded. Usually, after one of these episodes my skin just dries and goes wrinkled until it peels. However, i had another episode a few days later before ot had chamce to heal and is bery dry, itchy and uncomfortable. If anyone else has this type of skin lupus, i would really welcome your advice.

Being a chubby person i have been so blessed to never have any wrinkles on my face and im fast approaching 66 but lupus is taking its tole. Any suggestions on moisturises or preventatives would be very much appreciated. Thank youJulie 🌻
