My gp sent me for a ANA blood test which came back negative. She has referred me for a rheumatology appointment before the results came back, but I don't want to waste the rheumatology appointment. Has anyone else been diagnosed with a negative blood test?

In the past seronegative Lupus got diagnosed
ANA positivity can change back and forth
Tests vary too . They may try another method, and comes back positive.
Yes I am negative and many are. I have only ever had a positive dsdna once every other blood test negative. I have lupus and sjogrens syndrome. If you go to your rheumatologist appointment they can order a dsdna blood test and take a comprehensive look at your symptoms which I'm guessing you have as your gp ordered an ana blood test in the first place.
