Lupus SLE, APS, Vasculitis

I was officially diagnosed 3 weeks ago with Lupus SLE and Antiphospholipid Syndrome.and then last week I was informed a CT scan in Jan 21 I had a stroke which I was never informed about. I’ve had another CT scan nov 23 which has shown possible blood clot which I am awaiting mri results.

Regardless of results they said the only treatment is aggressively treating the lupus.

Has snyine had similar experience and have lived relatively normal life? Since it’s all new I’m daily worried I’m just going to have a stroke.

Once on the right medication things can really improve:

Then also it is about lifestyle, discovering triggers and avoiding flares. We can end up with very healthy lifestyles.

Hi. The key thing is being put on the right treatment for you to control the Lupus. Some foods can affect Lupus. I love garlic, great for immunity but it aggravates Lupus.

Also pacing yourself, planning in rest times too. Being kind to yourself.

Many people who've been diagnosed with Lupus had it picked up after a medical event. They'll treat and control other conditions and anything that's happened as a result of having Lupus. X
