SCLE Hair Dye ??
I use Garnier Nutrisse with no issues. Been using it for years and years.
I had to stop colouring my hair as I had a very bad skin reaction to it. Actually it was Garnier Nutrisse so that proves we are all different! Another brand might be fine but I’m too scared to try it!
I’ve tried them all with no issue, do a skin test before you use them. My hairdresser always does that before if she is using a new one.
Yep 20 years nutrisse at home until recently. Now I go to the hairdresser for highlights as I'm getting so grey and full head dye was not looking so good, it was starting to go a bit orange after a couple of weeks instead of staying darker brown because i'm so grey underneath. The highlights don't seem to go orange but fade out more naturally. I get browns and dark greys as I'm not ready for full head grey yet😆 Only issue is it's expensive. All hairdressers do a patch test but you can also patch test your dye although it has to be 24 hours before you use it to fully see. Just squeeze out a little of each bottle and mix and put a small dab behind your ear. I also use eyebrow and eyelash dye as well with no issues. Trouble is all our skins are different and also some things you have been fine with suddenly cause a problem. Hope you find a solution.
I also have massive reactions to hair dye products. The one I now use without much reaction is Surya Brazil. It is American made and made from Hanna. Good colours. I got the tip from this forum. You can find it on Amazon. I used to order from an on line company which charged a lot more. So Amazon is the best bet although colour choices are not various on its site.
I think the reaction is caused by the fact that dye sits on scalp for so long. So I dye at home on my own as hair salon people always puts loads on (too much and too long) and I find it much better when I apply it on myself because I tend to put it mainly on the hair and far less on the scalp. But it does require time and effort. 😅
Thank you my friend for taking time out and responding to my query much appreciated. I tried Henna organic but that did give me a reaction. I have recently tried Olea Garnier dark brown after 12 mths it says it doesn't have PPD and ammonia and I was OK with that.. like you said I was cautious didn't let it stay long and touch my scalp. Thank you my friend I wish you all well ...
Hi Multiseed. I understand that colouring your hair is a bit frowned upon, I did however have my hair dyed in July for my Son's wedding. Despite having patch tests, I still have now got very thin and brittle hair which is obviously due to the dye. I am hoping this will grow out but am a little worried. I am sure people's responses to dyes vary so I think it's up to you really but proceed with caution is my advice.
Good luck 😃
Hi. I used to use Clairol Loving Care and weirdly it eased some of my scalp problems. My hair has now turned completely white so I don't use hair colours anymore. X
