400mg Hydroxy

my rheumy has increased my hydroxy from 200 to 400 mg. For those that have done the same how long did it take before you noticed a difference to the increased amount?

I think it was about a month for me to notice a difference. My rheumy told me 6 weeks was typical to see any effects of changing the dose.

I started on 400 and it took about 6/8 weeks for me.

I increased to 400 at the beginning of the year and it took c. 8 weeks to notice an improvement

hi Lormiccro, I started on 200, six months later it increased to 400 took about a month before I noticed a difference. 7 yrs later he now want to go back to 200 to see if I can manage. Doesn’t think it’s good to be on a high dose for a long time 🤷‍♀️ if you aren’t already, make sure you see optometry every year. 😊

Hi Lormiccro, like others on here, it was about a month for me. It typically takes up to two months for the full effects to kick in. I was relived when the 400mg dose kicked in - the 200mg did nothing for me! Good luck

I recently increased from 200mg to 400mg every other day so av 300mg. Now 5 weeks in noticed slight difference but still having fevers and some symptoms. May end up on 2 x 200mg if does not work but want to try this.

I think it was about two months for me, first it has been very heavy to move to 400 due to strong nausea, but now it is much better and worth it.
